The expanded second passenger terminal at Hong Kong International Airport is set to open its doors to travellers on Wednesday, offering 25 new shopping and dining options.
While travellers must still take an autonomous people mover to Terminal 1 for departures after checking in at Terminal 2, the revamped facility promises a number of conveniences.
The South China Morning Post explores how travellers can make the most of the dining and shopping options.

They include TamJai SamGor Mixian, which serves rice noodles, and Milk Cafe, a cha chaan teng. Fast-food chains such as Jollibee and McDonald’s also have branches in the terminal, while those seeking Japanese cuisine can visit Ufufu Cafe and Yukimura.
For drinks, choices include Nap Tea, Cupping Room Coffee Roasters and Sang Roastery. Travellers craving something sweet can head to Joy Full House.

Looking ahead, a “two-dish” rice shop is slated to open in September. These establishments, which have surged in popularity across Hong Kong, allow patrons to select two pre-cooked main dishes accompanied by a generous serving of rice, with the low price a key draw.
