Hong Kong will roll out a range of discounts, free rides, giveaways and other deals as the city celebrates the 29th anniversary of its return to Chinese rule on July 1.
From MTR rides to shopping centre coupons, the South China Morning Post unpacks what the city has to offer for the occasion.
1. Free transport
Rail operator the MTR Corporation will give away 71,000 domestic single-journey tickets through a lucky draw on July 1 and offer Airport Express discounts to holders of child Octopus, personalised Octopus with student status and JoyYou cards.

Commuters can also enjoy free rides on all passenger tram routes from July 1 to 3.
Several ferry routes will offer free rides on July 1, with vouchers for certain services to be distributed in advance.
