“Only Allah knows [what I went through]. I am a private person and do not talk about my private life, and seven years of keeping everything inside is enough. And Alhamdulillah, today I feel everything – I feel such relief,” she said outside the Kuala Lumpur court complex on Monday morning.
“I will go on with life. I have a large responsibility to care for five children, and I am a single mother now.”
Prosecutors alleged that, on June 12, 2015, Bung received US$538,000 and US$64,200 from Public Mutual investment agent Madhi Abdul Hamid, as well as US$82,600 from unit trust consultant Norhaili Ahmad Mokhtar, as an inducement for Felcra Berhad to invest US$36.7 million in Public Mutual unit trust products.
