Two women and three men were shot and killed, while another person was wounded, on Sunday afternoon in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León. News media reported that the site may have used as a drug dealing point.
The massacre occurred at a home on calle Magnolia in the Bella Vista neighborhood.
Fuerza Civil, Guardia Nacional, Ejército Mexicano and Municipal Police responded to the scene, but the attackers, three armed men in a vehicle, had already left the scene. Authorities have not released a motive for the attack, but Milenio reported that the location may have been a drug sale point or safe house.
The Cartel del Noreste “Chuckys” faction is the dominant criminal actor in Ciénega de Flores.
