Mexican authorities arrested two alleged Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) financial operators in Guadalajara, including José Elías Celis Contreras, alias “El Chipo”, who is presumed to have served as one of the financial operators for Audias Flores Silva, alias “El Jardinero”.
According to federal authorities, “El Chipo” received orders from César Alejandro Villaseñor Olivares, alias “El Güero Conta”, another CJNG financial operator who was arrested in Guadalajara on April 27. The other detainee was identified as Jorge Ernesto Aguila Corona.
The arrests were made after FGR and SSPC raids at five homes in Guadalajara metro area, which netted weapons, ammunition and drugs.
Audias Flores Silva “El Jardinero”, a high-ranking regional boss overseeing synthetic drug production and trafficking for the CJNG was arrested in El Mirador, Nayarit on April 27th of this year. Since his arrest, numerous figures and drug labs linked to him have been seized by Mexican authorities.
