“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
In a joint operation involving state and municipal forces, authorities detained three individuals this Saturday, March 14, 2026, who have been identified as alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The detainees are believed to be directly linked to a series of homicides perpetrated in recent weeks within the municipality of Huixtla.
The operation—carried out by the Pakal Immediate Reaction Force, the State Border Guard, and the Attorney General’s Office—resulted in the capture of Huilver “N” (43), Cristofer “N” (20), and Avisai “N” (20).
During the patrols, authorities seized three handguns along with ammunition, packets containing various narcotics (crystal meth, crack cocaine, and marijuana), and two Italika motorcycles.
The detainees, alleged members of the CJNG, were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for their probable involvement in homicides. This detention is part of a regional security reinforcement following reports of violence and threats by this group in the area.
