At least 24 narco blockades have been reported across Michoacán this morning, in response to a government operation against high-ranking CJNG leader Heraclio Guerrero Martínez, alias “El Tio Lako”.

At the morning press conference, Mexican President Sheinbaum confirmed that the blockades were in response to a government attempt to capture “one or many targets”, but did not confirm whether the operations had been successful. President Sheinbaum added that the security cabinet would cover the event later.

Milenio reported that the security operation were part of an operation against the cell led by Heraclio Guerrero Martínez, alias El Tío Lako, the plaza boss of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) in northern Michoacán.
