
A 38-year-old Hong Kong air conditioner repairman has died after falling off a building in Kowloon City while doing repair works without any protective gear, the South China Morning Post has learned.
A source familiar with the matter said police received a report at 12.15pm on Tuesday of a man falling from Billionaire Avant residential estate in Kowloon City.
“Earlier in the day, the deceased went to a flat on the 11th floor to repair an air conditioner. He climbed out of a window in the bathroom to repair a split-type air conditioner, resulting in a fall to the second-floor podium of the building,” the source said, adding that “the deceased had not put on any protective gear”.

A security guard called police.
The worker was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei, where he was pronounced dead at 1.34pm.

Police contacted the Labour Department to conduct an on-site investigation, which is ongoing.
